Education

SEND-Aware has developed a range of courses that target and support the issues and knowledge surrounding SEND. We work with both mainstream schools and specialist educational centres to inform and inspire. Our experienced course leader, himself afflicted with mental health issues, brings with him a wealth of experience, from the viewpoint of a professional teacher and a SEND pupil, offering a huge number of highly practical and theoretical ideas. We realise there is not one big SEND brush, so we are passionate in presenting bespoke individually tailored packages. SEND-aware aims to leave both you and your students empowered.

Do you aim high? Do you want the best for and from your students? It is why we do the job. However, the profession is fluid. You are continually learning. You have a responsibility to our impressionable young generation, to keep improving your own skills and knowledge.

The government has ensured that mainstream education is saturated with students with SEND needs. These students do not automatically have access to the schools SEND department even with appropriate IEP or EHCP. This responsibility falls heavily and unfairly on the teacher, impacting the learning environment for all students. Yet, within the SEND Code of Practice, the responsibility for high quality provision is clearly that of teachers and practitioners.
